Kolkata Chess Institute
Chess has the power to shape the way a child thinks, plans and approaches challenges. Kolkata Chess Institute, the best chess institute in Kolkata, was created with that simple idea in mind. Led by International FIDE-rated player & coach, founded by Sujeet Sir (20+ years of coaching experience), the academy focuses on helping young players grow both on and off the board. Registered under Sara Bangla Daba Sangstha and affiliated with the North 24 Parganas District Chess Association, we guide students through structured learning, friendly match practice and regular tournaments. Our goal is to build confident, creative and thoughtful individuals through the beautiful game of chess.

“As a chess player and coach for more than two decades, I’ve seen how this beautiful game can transform young minds. Kolkata Chess Institute was founded with the goal of helping children not only become strong chess players, but also confident, disciplined and thoughtful individuals.
We offer both offline and online classes, though I truly believe children benefit greatly from our offline sessions, where they receive face-to-face guidance and real board practice. Along with regular training, we also organise monthly inter-academy tournaments, and conduct State Championships and other recognised events each year to give our students exposure and motivation.
Every child has potential — with proper guidance, even a small pawn can become a queen. We look forward to welcoming you to our chess family.”
